About

CarManual.in is an independent reference for car owners. It brings together owner’s manuals, specifications, dashboard warning light explanations and maintenance guides, and points at the manufacturer’s own source for each one.

Why the site exists

Manufacturer websites reorganise. Manuals move, get replaced by a newer model year, or sit behind a form. The registration document in your glovebox tells you the variant but not what the amber symbol on the dashboard means. This site is an attempt to keep that information findable, and to say plainly where each piece of it came from.

How information is handled

  • Manuals link to the manufacturer. Every manual entry records the official source and links to it. Where a PDF can be previewed it is shown; where it cannot, the official link is all you get, deliberately.
  • Specifications are recorded, not estimated. A field that has not been confirmed is left empty, and an empty field is simply not shown. Nothing on a page is filled in by guesswork.
  • Entries carry a verification date. Where an entry has been checked against its official source, the date of that check is shown on the page.
  • Warning light advice errs towards caution. Where a symbol can mean anything serious, the page says stop.

What this site is not

Independent information. CarManual.in is an independent reference site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer. Manufacturer names, model names and manuals belong to their respective owners. Always confirm details against the official documentation for your own vehicle.

It is also not a substitute for a qualified mechanic. Guides describe what a symbol means and what a sensible first response looks like; they do not replace an inspection by someone who can see and hear the car.
